I Get Bored of Water Easily – What are Some Other Healthy Drinks?

Check-out these healthy drinks if you need a break from water

There are only so many times you can say, “I’ll just have water” when the waiter takes your order. Though water is essential for good health and especially weight-loss, drinking it 24/7 without any break can be tiresome! Here are some other healthy drinks to switch things up.

Healthy Drinks beyond Water

Flavored and Sparkling Water

We know it’s still water, but give it a chance! If all you need is a flavor boost, try low-calorie and zero calorie water enhancers found in the drink aisle of your supermarket. Flavors like lime, fruit punch and lemonade can add some welcome zest.

If that doesn’t do the trick, try carbonated water which also comes in different flavors. The extra bubbles can spice things up! You can usually find these in the soft drink aisle.

100 Percent Fruit Juice

Fruit juice often gets a bad reputation because many brands are loaded with added sugar. Instead, enjoy this sweet alternative by getting the kind with 100 percent fruit juice. But remember, fruit juices of any kind can still be high in calories, do drink them in moderation.

Black, Green and Herbal Teas

There are SO many different teas out there! Black teas are great for an extra caffeine boost, green teas are great for your metabolism, and herbal teas boast a number of different health benefits. If you need some sweetness, opt for something like Splenda or Stevia.

Kombucha

This versatile drink seems to be trending, as it’s rich with probiotics and antioxidants. Kombucha is made from fermented black or green sweetened tea, and it’s great for digestive health as well as immunity and weight management. But watch those calories!

Homemade Smoothies

Smoothies are a catch-22. You can get powerful nutrients with greens like spinach and kale, as well as an assortment of fruits like berries, apples, mangoes and oranges. Want some protein? Add some protein powder or yogurt for creaminess.

Bot on the flip side, watch your sugar intake. Try to get that sweet taste through fruits and healthy sugar substitutes like Splenda, Stevia or Truvia. You’ll save on calories!

Water is Still a Must!

There’s nothing wrong with healthy water alternatives, but make sure water is still a staple in your diet! Most experts recommend 70-100 fl. oz per day. Don’t be afraid to add-in a lemon wedge, mixed berries or some watermelon for greater variety. Water is critical to weight management!
