Sweet Potato Jack O’ Lanterns

Who says Halloween snacks have to be unhealthy? Sweet potatoes are packed with vitamins and minerals, making them an excellent choice for a healthy snack. Simply peel, dice, and bake them in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Once they’re cooked, carve out some spooky faces using a knife, and voila – you’ve got yourself a healthy Halloween snack that’s both delicious and on theme.

Boo-nana Ghosts

If you’re a fan of vanilla yogurt, this one’s for you. All you need are some bananas, vanilla yogurt, dark chocolate chips and popsicle sticks. Cut the bananas in half and insert a popsicle stick into each one. Dip the banana halves into the yogurt and place them on a baking sheet. Use two chocolate chips for the eyes and one for the mouth to create a ghostly look. Freeze them for 30 minutes, and they’re ready to be gobbled up!

Monster Smoothie

Smoothies are always a great way to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables. For a Halloween twist, try blending together some spinach, banana, orange juice, chia seeds and a handful of berries. Once it’s blended, pour it into a clear glass and add some candy eyes to create your very own monster smoothie.

Witch’s Broomstick Snacks

For those of us who love savory snacks, here’s one that’s perfect for Halloween. Cut some carrots into thin sticks and insert them into the center of a pretzel stick. Wrap a slice of turkey or ham around the top of the carrot sticks to create the look of a witch’s broomstick. Serve these up on a colorful Halloween-themed platter, and they’re sure to be a hit.

Jack O’ Lantern Fruit Cups

For a healthy and refreshing dessert, create some Jack O’ Lantern fruit cups. Simply cut off the top of an orange and use a spoon to scrape out the inside, leaving the skin intact. Cut up some fruit of your choice – we recommend strawberries, pineapple and grapes – and fill the orange cups. Once everything is in, place the top back on the orange and carve out a Jack O’ Lantern face. It’s a fun and creative way to get your daily dose of fruit while celebrating the holiday season.

Sticking to a healthy diet can be difficult, especially during the holiday season. However, with these healthy Halloween-themed recipes, you can indulge in some festive treats without feeling guilty. So, go ahead and treat yourself to these nutritious snacks that are not only delicious but also help satisfy your cravings while supporting your weight-loss goals. Happy Halloween!
